Avec Anima · Isle of Man
Avec Anima is an underground house and tech house night on the Isle of Man, running events at venues across the island — from Douglas clubs to one-off nights in the glens. No two are the same.
It all starts with the music: selectors who dig deep, a properly tuned sound and a crowd that comes to dance. The posters, the films and the photos all come from the same place — so every night feels like Anima from the first announcement to the last record.
Founders & Directors
Ammon & Ben Yeardsley
Both directors and selectors, this pair just can’t stop picking up steam. Yeardos are gradually becoming established for bringing life to the dance floor, no matter the audience. Priding themselves on a varied taste of funky, groovy, deep selects.
The Selectors
Resident
Anima are extremely excited to announce our newest resident DJ, BURG. Formerly known as ½ of Isle of Grooves, Burg has been putting his stamp on both the Manx and UK scene, playing out in various venues across both. Bringing both classics and upbeat heaters into the fold, this guy is one to watch with his expansive mixing skills.
Resident
Strictly wax. John Bolton is the resident who brings the records — vinyl-only sets pulled from his own crates, with the warmth and the surprises that only come from digging.
Played Anima
Not everyone plays every night. These are the DJs who've stepped up as guests at Anima — some for one night, some a few times over.
